Our client is a lighting wholesaler and manufacturer of innovative LED Lighting, located in light city Eindhoven. A young, dynamic and ambitious company with a passion for professional lighting. Our target group consists of (electrical) installers / (sub) contractors and (lighting) consultants. We provide our target group with professional lighting.

Are you great at negotiating, do you get energy from making the best deals? Are you also communicative and analytical? Then we have a nice challenge for you. As an Operational Purchaser you will be responsible for managing our purchasing activities and you will optimize our existing purchasing activities to achieve operational excellence. With your skills you will know how to take PDL to an even more professional level. You will play an important role in identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, optimizing and setting up procurement processes and ensuring an efficient supply chain.

• Co-responsible for developing, implementing and managing the procurement strategy in coordination with management;

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price and performance;

• Negotiate contracts and supply terms to optimize costs and mitigate risks;

• Placing orders and monitoring delivery times;

• Resolving (procurement) related challenges;

• Overseeing procurement budgets and cost control;

• Maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders;

• Working with management to determine what products the company needs;

• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure the procurement process.

Your background

• Have at least 1-2 years of work experience within purchasing;

• Affinity with LED lighting in the lighting industry and/or technical wholesale;

• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;

• Affinity with automation (stock management system etc.), experience with ERP systems and a good knowledge of Word & Excel;

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration Management or Procurement Management;

• No mentality where time is leading but that work is performed and completed;

• Proactive, can-do attitude, careful, problem-solving, independent and stress-resistant;

• You have a healthy dose of humor, energy and you are an absolute winner!
