Recently, Membership Recruitment received a new request, namely, "help us build the foundation of HR, so in the future we can better select during the recruitment process."

Working in a Start Up environment
Working in a startup environment has many advantages, you stand out more, your work is more dynamic and you can make your mark. Still, working within a startup is perceived as challenging, because not all procedures are set in stone yet. Below you can read in a brief overview what we meant for the client.

First things first
First, in consultation with the client, we worked on the minimum competencies you must have within the organization, then supplemented with some competencies per position. After doing desk research, there were interviews with the current staff to draw a more realistic picture.

Frequently Asked Questions
At the same time, we worked hard to create an "Employee Handbook" so that when Ad Hoc questions arise, staff can get questions answered autonomously, without needing HR. When that was finished, an HR FAQ was set up, so that in the future, HR staff will be speaking with the same voice and they won't have to look something up every time. Pretty handy, especially if you're not affiliated with a collective bargaining agreement!

Resources
Next, Membership Recruitment supported in setting up a digital HR department. Resources for all documents including: employment contracts, NDAs, key & computer receipt, official warnings, sick call, vacation requests etc.. But also a personnel file, where interviews from probation to performance review are stored. Useful for good employment practices and, of course, to keep time efficient.
